Screenshot 2026-02-26 074931

Construction is underway at the Mt Cass Wind Farm, one of New Zealand’s most significant renewable energy developments, located east of Waipara in North Canterbury.

Taylors Contracting is proud to be delivering key civil balance‑of‑plant works for the project, including access roads, turbine platforms, drainage, and associated earthworks. These works are critical to enabling the safe installation and long‑term operation of the wind farm’s 22 turbines across challenging ridgeline terrain.

Once complete, the 94.6‑megawatt Mt Cass Wind Farm will generate enough clean electricity to power around 40,000 homes, making a meaningful contribution to New Zealand’s renewable energy future.

This work draws on Taylors Contracting’s extensive experience in complex civil engineering, road construction, and infrastructure delivery, including the construction of access infrastructure in challenging terrain. With more than 50 years in business, Taylors brings proven capability, specialised plant, and a strong focus on safety, quality, and environmental management to every project.

Taylors Contracting is proud to be playing a role in building the civil foundations of a major renewable energy asset that will deliver clean power for generations to come.
