We provide very versatile and responsive quarry services and a fit-for-purpose range of products due the number and type of quarries that we manage and operate.
Quarry Work We Do
Taylors manage and operate five quarry sites across the Tasman region for customers, such as forestry companies. We ‘win’ and crush aggregate for customers to whatever size stone is required. We also extract and crush rock from riverbeds for the Tasman District Council and forestry clients. We can provide contract drilling and blasting for quarries and verification testing through a third-party contractor.
Our diverse quarries and equipment mean that we can process a range of different material to suit customers’ requirements and specifications. We can also manufacture and stockpile product as required.
We supply large rock to the Tasman District Council rivers team and aggregate for forestry roads for local forest owners and managers. We also supply hard fill to ballast for sub bases for roading and the chip needed for the top layer for civil construction customers.
Quarry Service Equipment
We have three kinds of crushers and drill rigs that can work at angles and in locations and at depths that set us apart from our competitors.
Tasman Quarry Locations
Taylors Contracting manages and operates five quarry sites across the Tasman region.
We operate the Lee Valley quarry which has produced rock for use in the Waimea Community Dam. We also have a quarry in Golden Bay, from which we are now exporting rock to the lower North Island, and one in Sherry River.
The distance material has to be carted to a site has a huge bearing on costs. Our range of quarry locations allows us to keep costs down.
