Quarry Cadet (Tasman/Nelson)
We’re offering an exciting entry-level opportunity for a Young Cadet to join our quarries team.
Taylors own/manage eight quarry sites. Five are hard rock which require drill and blasting and three are alluvial crushing sites. We also have three mobile crushers and support equipment.
This is your chance to learn from the ground up, gain real industry experience, and become part of a great crew!
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Assisting in the operation of bagging quarry products
- Packing, stacking, and preparing product for delivery
- Learning the ropes of safety, quality control, and production workflow
- Keeping the worksite clean, safe, and efficient
- Eventually, getting hands-on training with machinery and quarry equipment
- Learning from experienced operators and supervisors
- Gaining valuable skills in the construction industry

- A motivated, hands-on individual (no experience needed!)
- Someone who is reliable, punctual, and ready to learn
- A person who is physically fit and comfortable with manual work
