Expression of interest -Heavy equipment mechanic

Taylors Contracting continues to grow so we are always on the lookout for an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join the team. This can be based in Brightwater, Canterbury or Wellington.

Hourly rate is negotiable and we can offer relocation support.

Key skills and attributes: To be successful in this role, you will:

• Be a trade qualified diesel technician with skills in hydraulics, modern diesel engines and related electronics
• Hold a class 1 driver’s license
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to Health and Safety
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical failures and recommend solutions
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills
• Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Have a willingness to learn and comply with our policies and procedures
• This position may require work away from home at times
